Microsoft’s Hardware Software Test Team is looking for an experienced Software Design Engineer in Test. The candidate will assist testing on one or more software features, create test automation based on existing test cases or assist with expanding already existing automation and test cases.  The product code is mostly written in C/C++/C# and the individual will have to work closely with developers, PM’s and their documentation to understand the product and features and they are working on.  The main test methodology used will be white box and grey box testing.  Other responsibilities may include creating test plan documentation, creating test cases, executing test cases, debugging test automation and test case failures.
 
Requirements:
Required:
•    Minimum 1+ years C# application/automation development experience, C# experience on web development does not count
•    Minimum 3+ years of Knowledge/experience with C/C++
•    Minimum 5+ years of test experience
•    Strong coding fundamentals are required
•    Test automation design and development experience is required
•    Good English communication skill both oral and written required
Optional:
•    WTT and Product Studio experience is a plus
•    Windows coding experience is a plus
•    API testing experience is a plus
•    Experience with Microsoft coding guideline is a big plus
•    Hardware/firmware experience is a plus
