Job description
Technical Solutions Manager is primary responsible for technical solutioning and engagement across sectors for application management services. Candidates will have valuable opportunities to work with major tier-one multi-national clients at executive levels and senior manager levels to identify business leads, client pain points, client needs/requirements, and develop value propositions on how application management service can help address client's needs and business visions. He/she will play a key role in the end-to-end engagement life-cycle from opportunity qualification, through the proposal, cost model, sow and bid process to closure and hand-over to delivery for execution.

Responsibilities:
•  Solutioning proposal, bid/project management, develop technical solution cost case, value proposition, client facing for requirements shaping/gathering, solution presentations, and contract negotiations
•  Ensure the Solution Strategy is created to meet the Client’s strategic business needs, and to address the Client’s pain points or strategic business reasons and/or compelling events. Ensure the Solution Strategy supports / underpins the IBM Win Theme’s.
•  Ensures the Solution Value proposition is clearly articulated and directly ties to the Client’s business needs and pain points, and underpins the IBM Win Theme’s and clearly articulates the IBM’s differentiators and fully utilizes and articulates IBM’s delivery capabilities.
•  Ensure the Solution and respective commercial proposal collateral to support the opportunity is created to meet and/or exceed IBM internals standards and expectations, and meet and/or exceeds Client’s expectation in terms of content, quality, presentation and timely delivery.
•  Ensures the Solution meets IBM’s design goals, standards and guidelines in terms of reference architecture, transformation & transformation architecture, organizational operating model, commercial goals, standards and guidelines, and risk mitigation. Leads integrated solutioning across Industries / Sectors and Design-Build-Manage (DBM)
•  Drive early involvement in opportunities, to shape opportunities with IBM values
•  Demonstrate and leverage own expertise in respective sector(s) for differentiated solutioning with unique IBM value-adds
•  Takes overall ownership and responsibility for solution quality and integrity of every bid handled
•  Provide Solutioning Support for new engagements to help IBM Win
•  Develop true E2E solutioning, including effort & cost estimations, service levels, as well as delivery and charging model(s)
•  Drive innovative and strategic solutions
•  Actively promote and drive IBM differentiation objectives
•  Expand knowledge and demonstrate expertise in a sector or an IBM service line

Required Skills:
•  At least 10 years IT industry experiences, preferably in project management or technical pre-sale positions relating to outsourcing, application management service, and/or leading application implementation, development and support
•  Experience of collecting and analysing data, using this as the basis for developing business cases and solutions
•  Experience in system implementation, familiar with application architecture, development, implementation, and on-going maintenance
•  Good sense in risk management for system implementation and application management outsourcing/offshoring projects
•  Experience in application support and maintenance, in particular the following areas: resource planning, pricing, solution formulation, and proposal preparation

Required
•Bachelor's Degree or above, MBA is preferred.
