Software Development Manager
Requirements:
-BS/MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
-8+ years of professional programming experience, developing applications in an object-oriented environment.
-2+ years managing software development teams, with a proven record of delivering one or more product releases
-Experience working on a development team producing industrial applications
-Solid understanding of the Software Development Lifecycle
-Sound judgment and a solid approach to risk management and mitigation
-Able to working in a multi-tasking, dynamic and challenging environment.
-Ability to motivate engineer, foster team spirit and maximize the productivities.
-Experience with Web, SOAP, XML, SOA, COM/DCOM.
-Proficient in Visual Studio, OOD, MFC/ATL
-Experience with database servers such as MS SQL Server or Oracle
-Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Chinese.
Responsibilities:
Manage a team of up to 15 software engineers, test engineers and system engineer, and lead the design and development of software as part of the engineering team responsible for company’s product supporting software. The successful candidate will focus on leading and managing a team of software developers and testers, and will work with U.S headquarter management team to ensure the successful delivery and maintenance of quality software.
-Develop and drive development project schedules, track and manage dependencies and risks, provide regular status reports and communications, for new, and maintenance, software product releases
-Responsible for managing resource for development environment, system lab and test equipment.
-Work with US Management and other groups to define software requirements
-Ensure employee success and satisfaction, with focus on employee and career development, encouraging growth, and providing regular feedback to staff members
-Responsible to produce documents for all phases of software development cycle.
-Work with Global Quality Assurance and Testing team to ensure proper test strategies and coverage.
