Responsibilities
  Consult on overall architecture
  Provide perspective on industry trends, future directions
  Recommend next generation development tools and techniques
  Experiment with and provide benefits for various toolsets
  Initiation and oversight of technical documentation
  Effective communication across developers and leaders
  Create architecture prototypes / develop frameworks
  General application development especially for the core pieces


Qualifications
  10+ years industry experience, 8+ years Java development experience in a
  web application environment
  5+ years J2EE web application architecture development
  Sun Certified JavaEE Architect or equivalent
  Excellent knowledge and extensive experience in Object Oriented Design
  and Design Patterns
  Broad knowledge of the Java Platform with specialization in the creation
  of multi-tiered applications
  Extensive architecture and development experience with IBM WebSphere
  Application Server, v6 and v7.
  Proven experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2005/2008 databases tuning
  and performance
  Experience with open source technologies such as Struts, Spring,
  ehcache, YUI, DWR, Castor, etc
  Proven track record for being detail-oriented with a demonstrated
  ability to self-motivate and follow through on projects
  Excellent troubleshooting skills with the ability to analyze and resolve
  difficult problems quickly
  Ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to other technical
  staff members as well as non-technical members of the organization
  Experience creating technical documentation in various forms
  Excellent English written and verbal skills are essential
  Strong developer skills / experience
