Key Responsibilities:

To work within a project team to deliver software interfaces to our instruments that meet the end users needs for ease-of-use, accuracy of data and reliability.
The successful candidate will be able to translate user requirements into technical specifications, deliver software that meets those specifications and work closely with the rest of the team to ensure that code is rugged, meets the requirements, and integrates with the rest of the product.
You will be expected to provide task level project plans on projects, work well both on your own and in a team environment, and be able to investigate and fix bugs in shipping products as required.
You will also take part in planning reviews, technical reviews, and bug reviews, providing your technical expertise to help ensure the smooth running of the project.   


Experience     
A background in science/engineering
At least 2 years commercial software experience on a Windows platform.
Has good C# .NET skills with experience.
Preferably good C++ with COM/MFC/ATL/STL skills
Understands and can read UML notation

General
Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.  Computer literate.  
Able to engage and work closely with members of a cross-functional team.  
Self-motivated, showing initiative, attention to detail, and bias for action.
