Job Summary
 
Create and execute test plans, test cases, and automated test scripts. Must be proficient in black box, grey box, white box, and automated testing in a Microsoft .NET distributed system environment.
  
Key Duties & Responsibilities (in decreasing Critical Emphasis order)

 Design, document, and execute automated and manual test cases and plans at the system, sub-system, service, and integrated levels.

 Generate technical test specifications and assist in the definition of project goals and objectives.

 Create and maintain test suites for product/system evaluations as well as customer acceptance qualifications.

 Provide detailed written status and results reports.

 Coordinate project planning, tracking, and reporting.  Communicate project status, issues, and requirements in a timely manner.

 Perform manual and automated installation, upgrade, unit, functional, system, integration, performance, and regression testing.

 Participate in source code control, issue tracking, and software release activities as required.

 Create new issue reports, evaluate resolved issues, close verified issues, and escalate resolved issue failures.

 Support customer operations and deployment groups as an escalation point of contact when complex problems arise. Contribute and communicate between development and operations to ensure knowledge transfer.  Develop new test cases based on common field problems.

 Develop automated suites of tests for regression of existing functionality, bug isolation, and new functionality.

 Perform other duties as required.
 Qualifications/Skills/Abilities
 BS in Computer Science or equivalent
 
Experience (type & duration)
 Four-five years professional experience testing and executing QA functions within a Microsoft .NET and VB 6.0 environment.
 
Skills
 Must speak and write fluently and effectively in both Mandarin Chinese and English languages.

High proficiency in QA skills and expertise.

Good working knowledge of tools such as MS Visual Studio .NET, Visual Source Safe, and commercially available issue management tools.

Solid understanding of automated test development using commercially available automation tools.  

Strong knowledge of telecommunications specifications and standards as they apply in a system application.  

Seasoned professional with a full knowledge of operating systems, networking standards and protocols.

Ability to deal with problems of moderate scope, to analytically identify cause and affect relationships and assist in logically developing action plans.

Able to document issues, test plans, test designs and project status.

Manage time effectively, from day to day time to project schedules with minimal supervision.
